Hello everyone! Bleurgh, I'm kind of a mess at the moment. I'm suffering with a cold/laryngitis and feeling completely sorry for myself. I can't talk, or breathe through my nose. I constantly have a stuffy head and I have no taste whatsoever. I tried to cheer myself up with a Big Mac...nothing. Not even a hot chocolate has a taste, just drinking warm liquid, hell! So today I'm bed ridden and nothing could be more effort than taking outfit photos etc. I'm taking it easy as I've been told to rest, so I'll just be writing a review today because It's easier and I don't want to neglect my blog ! Sorry if all these reviews seem "boring"- as that's all I seem to be doing recently. Once I'm back to full health I will be back to mixing in a few Fashion posts too.
I picked up this powder a few weeks ago, It was kind of a spare of the moment decision. I've been after a new powder but as my home town has no Mac stores (and I needed on asap so I couldn't purchase online!) I thought this would make do for the meanwhile. As far as a powder goes, it's okay. It helps to set my make up and banishes any shine but along with that it doesn't seem to work well with the drier areas of my skin...which I didn't know I had till I used this. I am going through a "rough patch" so to speak with the skin on my forehead, so this could be why it's giving me a bit of hell but otherwise the powder did okay. I seem to be fine without it however so I haven't necessarily popped this on when I've been doing my make up (mainly because I don't want my forehead to look all dry and patchy!) So I would recommend this if your skin is normal to oily as it worked well on the rest of my face.
The powder retails for £3.99 and is available in most beauty stores (Boots, Superdrug, Feel Unique etc). Does anyone recommend any other drugstore face powders?
P.s Sorry If this posts seemed very moany - I don't take being ill very well! Haha

Thank you very much!! xx
DeleteI use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder, and I find it's the best powder out of any I've tried, including higher end brands. When I've been ill or a bit run down, I've found that I've had dry, flaky patches of skin when wearing powder too. I'd try the powder when you're feeling better and see how you get on then :) I hope you're feeling better soon xx
ReplyDeleteI use this powder too and when my skin goes through bad patches it doesn't look as nice, but as far as a powder goes it's okay. I hope you feel better soon! x
ReplyDeleteI love this and the stay matte powder, I never use anything else. Get better soon xx

ReplyDeleteI always use the Stay Matte powder, its such a good price and I find that its the foundation that makes the real "overall" look - I just use the powder to set it really! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower from the blog hop! :)
