Rimmel Apocalips Nova, Nude Eclipse & Luna - Boots £5.99 each
Hello everyone! Now I know a new rave has hit the bloggersphere with the Rimmel Apocalips and I thought I would give my thoughts too. I saw a few complaints on Twitter with regards to the volume of reviews on the Apocalips but that's what beauty bloggers do I'm afraid! If you don't want to read another review simply don't click the link. Plus, it's always nice to see one extra review to just make sure the product is worth trying. Whenever I'm considering a new product I tend to read a good 5-10 reviews before parting with my money. I don't have money to burn so I like to know that the product I'm purchasing is more likely to be worth every penny than not. Anyway enough of my rambles :)
I popped into Boots the other day whilst in town and had already been told the Rimmel Apocalips were on 3 for 2 so I was eager to get my hands on them whilst they were. I was only after Celestial originally but when I arrived at Boots they were out of stock, sigh! I even sneakily opened the draw below were they usually keep extra stock but they had no back ups either. So, I decided that seeing as though I'd come all the way to town just to purchase these (yes I'm that sad) I would pick a couple up anyway. I'm a big nude lipstick fan so I thought I'd pick up the Nude Eclipse. What a dream! The colour is gorgeous and perfect for nude lovers like me. I'm also an orange lipstick fan (mainly in spring/summer) -nothing better than some lovely bright lips to go with the weather. I thought I'd get ahead of myself (yes we are still kind of in winter!) and purchase Luna. The colour is a lovely peachy orange shade and goes with my skin tone very nicely. I also bought Nova on a whim, I'd seen fab reviews but I don't usually go for such bright pink shades. Well, I was wrong! This colour is actually my favourite from the three and is gorgeous on. I think it will be perfect for evenings out, I'm actually going to wear this on my 21st birthday night out- woo! I wish I could get away with wearing it every day but the colour is a little too much in my opinion, I'll stick to my nudes for casual days. I might try wearing it though after blotting it a few times, just so the colour isn't too strong!
I think the formula is amazing, its slightly confusing though. I was a little wary of purchasing these as i HATE lipgloss but it isn't like that at all. It's a sort of runny lipstick with a bit of shine and zero stickiness - A miracle if you must. I sort of like the packaging too, its a bit more interesting than your standard lip lacquer! So to conclude, I do think they are worth the hype, they're good value for money and a bit of a novelty. I will definitely be nipping back into Boots to look for Celestial! Have you tried the Rimmel Apocalips? What are your thoughts?

Haha I love how you had a sneaky look in the drawers to check for Celestial! I would be too scared to do it, thinking I would be accused of shoplifting! Love the colours you picked up! I went out and got 2 the day they came out but I think I'm going to have to purchase a few more. Great review xx
